King of the Globe
02:02
|

Soldiers for sale or rent, don’t work for any government
Putin can’t find suitable troops
He brought in the Wagner Group
Recruited thugs and thieves from prison cells
Sent to combat, ‘cause, war is hell.
Just a means to an end, my friend, ‘til he’s king of the globe!
Never mind the blood and gore; for special operations,
No one’s keeping score
No laws, they ain’t no fools, don’t follow no UN rules.
You see, all’s fair in love and war, human rights can be ignored
Just a means to an end, my friend, ‘til he’s king of the globe!
Pick any goon from any land,
Give ‘em lethal weapons and cash in hand
For any mission you might name,
And plausibly deny that you’re to blame.
Vlady’s lackeys slay and slaughter
Like when we hired Blackwater
When the crud hit the fan, in Iraq and Afghanistan
Hey, let’s send in cluster bombs; what could possibly go wrong?
Just a means to an end, my friend, ‘til we’re king of the globe!

Weapons loading, bombs exploding, when will we know peace?
Troops engaging, wars are raging, when will we know peace?
When everyone is sheltered, fed and cared for, free to question “Why?” and say “I disagree!”
When all are free to say “I love you”, only then will we know peace.
When everyone lives where they choose to, freely leaving in accordance with their dreams
When all are free from fear of cold or hunger. only then will we know peace.
Soulful yearning, patient learning, when will we know peace?
I dream a world where passion and reason embrace and dance together
One taking the lead, then the other, each adding energy and grace.
A world in balance, gyroscopic,
Leaning left, leaning right, teetering but never toppling.
I dream a world where hurt and anger are soothed into comfort
Where injustice prompts action, compassion and healing
Where doubt is met with love and hope, and is led to newfound trust
Where humor expands hearts and never diminishes souls
Where wisdom dissolves fear, and flows towards courage
Where community breaks through the barriers of isolation and loneliness.
I dream a world where secrets and lies come out into the light of truth
Where colors blend together or stand out boldly, never blurring or obscuring each other.
Where all get their due, the many and the few,
Where we do onto others, each according to their ability, so that everyone has enough.
I dream a world where we gather in sanctuaries, not in fortresses
Where swords turn to plowshares, where we share visions, creativity and care
Meeting people’s needs, without feeding their greed.
I dream a world I’ve never known, but briefly glimpsed from the mountaintop,
In the cherishing of the ones we love, and the kindness shown to strangers.
One hand stretching for ever higher ground,
The other reaching out to give a boost to those below.
I dream a world of “I” and “Thou”, not of “Us or Them”, where touch comes only when desired.
Where anger is respected and heard out, neither fed nor silenced.
A world where the hearth warms us without engulfing us in flames.
I dream a world where passion and reason embrace and dance together
Firmly rooted in the ground, yet treading light as feathers
First one leads and then the other, with energy and grace.
And I’ll follow any path I find to lead us to that place.

Stuffies, Del’s and calamari, stuffies Del’s and calamari
Welcome to Rhode Island, I never leave Rhode Island!

I breathe in peace, I breathe out hurt (2x)
I breathe in peace, I breathe out fear (2x)
I breathe in peace, I breathe out doubt (2x)
I breathe in peace, I breathe out shame (2x)
I breathe in peace, I breathe out grief (2x)
I breathe in peace, I breathe out rage (2x)
I breathe in peace…
I breathe in peace…
